Once upon a time there was... PROWEST

The First, One and Only French organization devoted to West Coast music/A.O.R. rapidly established itself as an integral member of the West Coast music worldwide community.


A mag named West Coast Rendez-Vous!

WEST COAST RENDEZ-VOUS is the only mag worldwide (and it is written in French!) that represents, supports and writes about A.O.R./West Coast music (a 20-pages quarterly bulletin).

At the moment, WEST COAST RENDEZ-VOUS has 1053 permanent subscribers in France, Belgium, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and Scandinavia. Our magazine is only available via mail order.

WEST COAST RENDEZ-VOUS contents: interviews, CD (new releases and reissues) and advance tapes reviews, an incredible amount of news, focus and various articles. Advertising rates are available upon request.

Greg GUIDRY

(worldwide management)

The well known West Coast singer/songwriter/musician, one of the most talented US A.O.R. artist of the '80s (he wrote songs for Johnny TAYLOR, Robbie DUPREE, Dan ENGLAND & John Ford COLEY...). His one and only OVER THE LINE LP (released in 1982) is a classic A.O.R. album! His new album will be out very soon!

 

Robbie DUPREE

(representation for Europe)

Incredible West Coast artist with a real talent in studio and live. Great voice, good guitar player... 5 solo albums available! He has produced some artists like Bill LaBOUNTY, Debbie LAN, ORLEANS, Tony LEVIN... Now a new double live CD!

We distribute his VINTAGE EP collector CD.

 

Eric RUSSELL (his real name is Olivier CONSTANTIN)

(worldwide management)

The West Coast music French singer who has a first solo LP out in Japan as well as in Europe: PERSONAL. Eric is one of the Top 10 most requested backing vocalists in France. His first single NEVER BE MINE was a Top 40 hit in Japan.

PROWEST helps artists and labels to find license or/and distribution deals in Europe and Japan too.

PROWEST is directly involved in the supply and receipt of West Coast/A.O.R. market and fans information to and from any country. Our web-site THE OFFICIAL SITE FOR WEST COAST MUSIC IN FRANCE (in French: SITE OFFICIEL DU ROCK CALIFORNIEN EN FRANCE) develops an interactive and updated vision of West Coast music market & fans.


Daily West Coast Airplays in France

We produced and host a daily radioshow in France only devoted to West Coast music on an important radiostation in The South of France. For more informations, contact us!

Prowest Exclusive Partnership

In March 1997, PROWEST has signed a partnership with 3 other non-profit organizations devoted to West Coast fans in foreign countries: THE A.O.R. CLUB (Japan) and BLUE DESERT (Denmark) and UNDERCOVER (Spain).

We exchange news, interviews and informations about West Coast music between us. The goal is to gather together West Coast fans worldwide and to offer to the West Coast music business a unique kind of publicity on 4 different Press medias and in 4 different areas.


Prowest references

In July 1998, we were sponsorship partners of the Michael RUFF concert in Paris.

We sponsored and co-produced the Bill CANTOS and Mari FALCONE tour in France (June 1998) and Michael RUFF gig in Paris (July 1998).

We sponsored the 2nd WEST COAST FESTIVAL (Oct. 1997) feat. AMBROSIA, FIREFALL, Robbie DUPREE, Marc JORDAN and Stephen BISHOP.

In July 1997, PROWEST sponsored the only one Michael RUFF concert in France.

In January 1997, we sponsored and helped to conceive a special nationwide TV Report about "The West Coast music revival phenomenon in France". Contents: PROWEST Chief editor interview, West Coast Festival videos...

In October/November 1996, we collaborated with and sponsored the FIRST WEST COAST FESTIVAL at DISNEYLAND PARIS and helped to book some artists. Bill: POCO, Jim PHOTOGLO, Marc JORDAN, Robbie DUPREE, Greg GUIDRY and Phil CARMEN.

In October 1996, PROWEST conceived a complete interactive article of several pages about West Coast classic albums for MOUSTIK, the first French mag on CD-Rom format.

In 1996, we sponsored AMERICA, P.M. and FIREFALL concert tours in France as well as Michael RUFF concert in Paris.
