PLAYER reissue The French label Magic Records has just reissued the PLAYER album Spies Of Life (originally released on RCA/BMG in 1981). Then I went to NYC to help launch a new music cable network called IMNTV....Check out the board members.... Besides myself and Bill Champlin we have Mr. Lukather and quite a few very savy music people as well as lawyers and ex VH1 people. We were performing, Janey and I and Bill and I. We wid Aphasia for the first time live...with Luke on lead guitar...Tamara Champlin and Janey sang bg's for the show. Then I will go to Chicago for a week to write and record with Richard Marx...I am having a great spring and summer looks great too. Amy Sky and I just wrote three more songs together up in Toronto, Marc Jordan and I rerecorded Crucifix in dreamland... I have also just finished playing on 14 new Nicolas Peyrac songs... His new CD IS AWESOME. So, all I need now is to have some time to finish my 4th CD. SIMON PHILLIPS tour Due to the TOTO tour dates in Europe in june, SIMON PHILLIPS will reschedule his solo tour for the end of this year. TOMMY DENANDER is Radioactive MTM Music Germany and TOMMY DENANDER have settled an agreement for an album called Radioactive. Firstly recorded with Jeff, Mike and Steve Porcaro and David Paich in Los Angeles back in 1991 and intended to be a solo album for TOMMY. Due to differences and trouble with his label back then,DENANDER bought the tapes back and over the 9 years the album changed from being a solo thing to duo group to what it is now. It was recorded right after Toto´s Kingdom of Desire. The core of the songs of the album were written by Tommy, and also features the writing talents from Richard Marx, Bruce Gaitsch and Bill Champlin, and vocal find vocal performances from Fergie Frederiksen, Bobby Kimball, Bill Champlin, Fee Waybill, Jason Scheff... Also feat. Richard Page, Joseph Williams and Janey Clewer. On guitars are: TOMMY, Michael Thompson, Mike Landau and Bruce Gaitsch. On keys: David Paich, Steve Porcaro, David Garfield, Robbie Buchanan... The album will be completed during the summer months of July-August - September and will be planned to be finished for a fall release.

CAROLE KING live Aaron Neville, Brian McKnight and CAROLE KING will perform live at the 31st annual National Academy of Popular Music/Songwriter's Hall of Fame, at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers (Manhattan) on June 15. The teens anson will sing a Beach Boys medley that will honor Brian Wilson. CAROLE KING will perform for James Taylor. Also at the stage, John David Souther and Phoebe Snow are annnounced. Don Henley and Glenn Frey will be also inducted during the ceremony. JACKSON BROWNE stalker Last week, 47-year-old Roberta Rasp was charged with 5 felonies against JACKSON BROWNE and a member of his family and was arrested. This woman accused of stalking JACKSON has pled not guilty. JACKSON feared for his life.
AMERICA Box-set Rhino Records USA will release on July 18 a 3-CD (64 tracks) box-set from AMERICA entitled Highway: 30 Years of AMERICA. The band starts a summer tour in The States from July 1 (Oklahoma City) to October. BEACH BOYS revival Most of the BEACH BOYS albums will be remastered and re-released by Capitol Records on July 18: Sunflower and Surf's Up (on one CD). In Concert will follow. Brian Wilson is going to sing some tunes from Pet Sounds during his forthcoming US tour. FOREIGNER Box-set Rhino Records USA will also release on August 25 a double-CD (45 tracks) from FOREIGNER: Jukebox Heroes: The FOREIGNER Anthology. The booklet is gonna featured new interviews with Mick Jones and Lou Gramm as well as rare tunes from FOREIGNER and Spooky Tooth.
