Biron Castle
An exceptional stone giant!
Château de Biron
Château de Bironone of the 4 baronies of Périgord, along with Beynac, Biron and Mareuil, boasts an impressive architectural ensemble.
On the borders of Périgord Pourpre and Périgord Noir, Agenais and the Lot valley, Biron embraces a wide panorama. Here, you can marvel at the foot of towering fortresses in the heart of Bastide country.
The diversity of buildings from different eras testifies to the Château's evolution over the centuries, from the year 1000 to the present day. Closely linked to the Gontaut-Biron family, the Château reflects their past power.
Guided tours are available at certain times.
A combined ticket for Château de Biron and Cloister of Cadouin is proposed.
