The Calviac Zoological Reserve is a not-for-profit institution with a mission to protect the environment. conservation of endangered species. Calviac's conservation actions take the form of European breeding programs, as well as action programs in natural environments. (expeditions, ecological studies or scientific investigations in any part of the world).

The percentage of endangered species (50%) and species in breeding programs (72%) is one of the highest in the world.

The reserve is located on an entirely wooded hillside. 200 animals from 4 geographical areas (Europe, Madagascar, South America, Oceania).
You can enter the pens animals such as lemurs, wallabies and birds. The 1.5 km route is interspersed with edutainment activities. Allow around 1h30 for the visit.

The entire site is managed ecologically (water recycling, dry toilets....)

Each entry contributes to the financing of safeguarding programs At the end of your visit, you can vote for the one that means the most to you.

You'll also be able to attend the animals' meals, giving you the chance to chat with the caretakers.
