Le Moulin du Châtain in Dordogne Périgord, in the commune of Payzac, welcomes you to an idyllic setting in the heart of unspoilt nature, to discover our beautiful region.
On the Chemins du Moulin, crossed by the Belles Dames stream, discover our small family campsite with chalets, converted tents, caravans and pitches, our private fishing pond (no fishing card required), where you'll find pike, perch, roach, carp..., a swimming pool (open in July and August), games, picnic areas, walking trails, bar and terrace.
The property extends over 4Ha and the site offers lovely walks along the Belles Dames stream that runs through our campsite, around our ponds and in the small Moulin wood. You can also join a number of hiking trails starting from the campsite.

Le Moulin du Châtain is at a crossroads: on foot, by bike or on horseback, discover the surrounding area and its many tourist attractions: caves, castles, paper mills, forges, Auvézère gorges, remarkable villages, farm visits, producers' stores, markets and evening festivities...
The Papeterie de Vaux is 1km from our home and can be reached on foot via our footpaths. The Forges de Savignac Lédrier are 8km away. You can also visit the Auvézère Gorges, the Tourtoirac cave and the nearby castles Hautefort, Jumilhac....Canoeing, Vélo Rail, Climbing, Orpaillage, Horse-riding, Kayaking, Teleskiing, Archery, Paddle are among the many activities on offer.
A leisure center 15 minutes from us offers a wide range of sports, leisure and outdoor activities...
We border the Corrèze region, discover Ségur le Château, classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France, and Pompadour and its famous stud farms....
Our region is rich in sites, nature and gastronomy.
Small Family and Nature Campsite
We look forward to welcoming you to our family campsite in the Dordogne Périgord, surrounded by unspoilt nature and lulled by the sound of water.
26 pitches for tents, caravans, motorhomes, 4 chalets and 2 converted tents, one caravan.
Our 30m2 cottages sleep 4 and are fully equipped. They all have a stone barbecue and a wooden terrace with garden table and chairs.
Our 20m2 furnished tents can accommodate 4 people. They are fully equipped and have a garden salon . Close to a cold-water tap, sanitary facilities are just a few steps from the tents.
A pretty little 6.50m2 caravan for 2, ideally placed a little out of the way and just a few steps from the sanitary facilities.
It is equipped with a fixed double bed (the bed is made on your arrival), a small eating or relaxing area, 2 gas rings and full crockery for 2, storage space and an outdoor terrace with chairs and table, complete with shade sail.
The campsite's shady pitches welcome tents, caravans, motorhomes and vans.
