Situated in a former wine store adjoining the Tourist Office and a stone's throw from the château de Jumilhac, the Gold Gallery presents a permanent exhibition entitled "Gold, origins, myths and industries". In addition to recounting the history of gold production from Gaulish times to the 20th century, the exhibition features a life-size reconstruction of an old mine, complete with cart, rail, trompe l'oeil painting and various tools.
The museography and multimedia content are particularly attractive and will teach you all about the precious metal. The Galerie de l'Or is open at the same times as the Tourist Office.
