Medieval village of Saint Jean de Côle
Classified as "One of the Most Beautiful Villages in France", the village of St Jean de Côle has the particularity of bringing together, in a small space, Marthonie castle (15th, 16th and 17th centuries), the Romanesque-Byzantine church (11th century), the abbey (11th century) and the Romanesque donkey bridge (15th century).
Fond du Bourg, with its old street of half-timbered houses, picturesque roofs and bulging facades, adds an old-fashioned touch to the charm of these venerable stones. Villes et Villages fleuris "2 flowers".
