The prehistoric site Low Laugerie Shelter, occupied between-15 000 and-10 000 BC, served as a reference to Prehistorians from around the world.

The numerous archaeological vestiges discovered, testify to an unparalleled cultural and aesthetic activity in the region, even in Europe. The ensemble of decorated furniture, exceptionally varied, perfectly illustrates the quality of the drawings of the "modern" men of prehistory.
The site consists of two shelters: the shelter of Marseille and the shelter called Classic.

Your visit to the low Laugerie shelter:

A new family visit tour makes you discover the richness of this place. You start with a 3d projection that addresses the main aspects of the site (geology, archaeology, way of life and symbolic expression): the opportunity to discover the objects that have made the fame of Laugerie Bass in the nearest angles. Then using a tablet, you will be invited to perform a virtual archaeological dig and to discover in situ the site thousands of years in reality augmented at 360 ° degrees.

At the edge of the Vézère, the "mineral forest" of the great Roc, the prehistoric shelters and the cliffs developed at historical times, represent a unique and indispensable set for the visitor.
