PARK LE BOURNAT

Theme park : A day in 1900 in Dordogne

Welcome to the Bournat Park

Go to meet the villagers of the Bournat walking the alleys of this village reconstructed with authentic Perigord stones. Time was suspended in 1900, but life is not frozen, like a hive, it buzzes everywhere.

The Bournat in Occitan means the hive, it is to Paul Jean Souriau a lover of the region that we owe his existence, he wanted to share with you the whole atmosphere of his childhood on this land of 8 hectares on the edge of the Vézère.

The park

Visit the school, have fun on the merry-go-rounds of the carnival, embark on the discovery of the marshes, discover the animals of the farm or meet the artisans who will make you discover the trades of yesteryear. Country walks and family celebrations in a unique leisure park: Everything is done to make you live the joy and warmth of a day in "Sweet France".

In our restaurant, you will taste the local cuisine made from the vegetables of our vegetable garden. You will climb into the mill to taste the good bread baked on site by our artisan baker

The attractions of Le Bournat

At Le Bournat, we have old-fashioned fun and our 1900s attractions will delight the whole family.

  • Carousel, rickshaw, Ferris wheel... and the authentic art nouveau style caterpillar. There are about ten rides at the fair of Bournat. Enough to make your head spin!
  •  Discover the Stanley Montain Wagon bus ride, a replica of the mythical American bus from the beginning of the century driven by a guide in the purest tradition of bus drivers.
  • Have your picture taken in traditional costumes in the pure 1900's fashion in our photographic workshop.

The jobs of the last century

Discover the trades of the last century ... Cutler, butcher, jam maker, miller, blacksmith, brewer, glass spinner, lace maker ... So many old trades that come back to life in our village suspended in 1900. The craftsmen of Bournat have not lost their touch.
With our workshops, armed with a pen, or a bit of clay and your ten fingers, you will put yourself in the shoes of an artisan. Nothing better to exercise your creativity. And you will leave with your creation.

Good trip back in time!
