Le Conquil Troglodytic site
Rock shelters occupied by man since prehistoric times
Welcome to the troglodytic site of Le Conquil
On the banks of the Vézère river you will discoverauthentic rock shelters occupied by man as early as prehistoric times, and developed and fortified in the Middle Ages. It's one of the few authentic sites from our past to have retained all its testimonial value, both in terms of the layout of its shelters and defense systems, and in its wild, natural setting.
The tour of the troglodyte dwellings lasts around 1 hour.
NEW 2023 Following archaeological and historical excavations, guided tours can be booked at no extra cost.
Self-guided tours with audio guide are also available
On the same site, you can also practice accrobranche on the Prehistobranch or discover life-size dinosaurs in the dinosaur park
