Welcome to the Costi Museum

The former Saint Jacques presbytery at Bergerac is home to the remarkable vaults of the Petite Mission cellar.  Costi Museum.

Constantin Papachristopoulos born in Athens in 1906 and died in Paris in 2004, signed his works Costi, and it is under this name that the artist is best known.

This pupil of Bourdelle was a figurative sculptor of the 1st half of the 20th century. deCosti's work consisted of modeling clay and making bronzes, but he also tried his hand at carving marble.

In 1999, Costi donated 52 bronzes, 7 plasters and 7 drawings to the town of Bergerac . The 220 m2 museum opened its doors in 2001 and welcomes you to discover these works dedicated to the female body.
