In the heart of the medieval village of Beynac, La Maison de Pierre, your house of character with its panoramic garden.
The stone house, built in 16th century is the only Beynac, with a fully covered roof slate (stacked limestone). This is one of the peculiarities of our beautiful region.
The house is composed of:
- a superb panoramic garden of 3 ares offering a breathtaking view of one of the meanders of the Dordogne river.
- a semi-covered terrace, with direct access from the living room.
- a large living room comprising a lounge, salon and a kitchen
- a bedroom with a double canopy bed dating from the 18th century.
- a bedroom with 2 single beds.
- a bathroom with multi-jet shower cubicle.
- a toilet separate from the bathroom.
Our house has been completely renovated and furnished with a subtle blend of the old (18th-century four-poster bed) and the new.) and modern (integrated kitchen: induction hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven, comfortable salon corner, decorative fireplace).
Two deckchairs for relaxing, sunbathing and reading, with spectacular views over the valley of the 5 châteaux (Castelnaud, Fayrac, Marqueyssac, Beynac and Château des Milandes, where Josephine Baker lived).
Just a 5-minute walk from the house, you'll find 5 restaurants, 1 grocery store, 2 bakeries, 1 butcher's, a post office, a pharmacy, a small supermarket, a tourist office, as well as a bar and a number of small shops.
Périgord Noir is of course famous for its gastronomy, particularly foie gras, duck breast and duck confit. It's also famous for its truffles and ceps, which can be enjoyed simply sliced into an omelette.
The region offers a wide variety of prehistoric troglodyte sites, such as Les Eyzies (30 mins from Beynac) in the Vézère valley, and the famous paleolithic caves of Lascaux (40 mins from Beynac), dating back over 17,000 years.
But Périgord also boasts 1,000 and 1 castles, and superb bastides such as Domme, Belves and Monpazier.
The Périgord is a walker's paradise, with its rich oak and hazelnut forests and impressive cliffs.

We can take out a subscription for your vehicle to the village parking lot, at the preferential rate of 35 € per week. Just let us know your vehicle type and registration number at least 5 days before your arrival, so that we can pre-purchase it for you.
It must be reimbursed in cash on the day of arrival.

Two deckchairs allow you to relax, sunbathe, read a book while enjoying a spectacular view of the Dordogne valley and the valley of the 5 castles (Castelnaud, Fayrac, Marqueyssac, Beynac and Les Milandes where Joséphine Baker lived) .
