It was built in the Sixteenth century.
It is the only house in Beynac, with a fully covered roof slate (stacked limestone rocks, one of the distinctive features of our beautiful region.
The house is composed of:
- a superb 3-acre panoramic garden offering breathtaking views of one of the meanders of the Dordogne River (one of the most beautiful views in the village).

- a toilet separate from the bathroom.
Our house has been completely renovated and furnished with a subtle blend of antique (18th-century four-poster bed, two decorative fireplaces) and modern (built-in kitchen: induction cooktops, dishwasher, refrigerator-freezer, oven, salon area).

Just a 5-minute walk from the house, you will find 6 restaurants, 1 grocery store, 2 bakeries, 1 butcher shop, a post office, a pharmacy, a small supermarket, a tourist office, as well as a bar and small shops.
The Périgord Noir is of course famous for its gastronomy, particularly its foie gras, duck breast, and duck confit. It is also famous for its truffles and porcini mushrooms, which can be enjoyed simply sliced in an omelet, for example.
The region offers a wide variety of prehistoric troglodyte sites, such as Les Eyzies (30 mins from Beynac) in the Vézère valley, and the famous paleolithic caves of Lascaux (40 mins from Beynac), dating back over 17,000 years.
But Périgord also has over a thousand castles and superb fortified towns such as Domme, Belves, and Monpazier.
The Périgord is a walker's paradise, with its rich oak and hazelnut forests and impressive cliffs.
