The Château de Neuvic

Take a guided tour and discover the castle of NeuvicA castle steeped in history and captivating anecdotes. The 500-year-old Renaissance-style Château will open its doors to you for a visit rich in discovery.

Château de Neuvic is a listed building historical monumentIt is furnished and features authentic Renaissance murals. Like most Renaissance châteaux, it was built by Annet de Fayolle around 1520, then passed on to his nephew Jehan de Mellet, whose descendants owned it until 1925, when it was sold.

In 1950, the last owners bequeathed the Château de Neuvic to the Fondation de l'Isle to provide a home for children in difficulty.

Botanical Park:

Outside, discover the botanical park and arboretum of the Château de Neuvic.

The 6-hectare botanical park features a wide range of plant species (oaks, viburnums, dogwoods, willows, maples, etc.), as well as nesting boxes, feeders, insect shelters and fallow areas.

Since 2006, the park has been one of the refuges of the League for the Protection of Birds (LPO).

A walk along the river leads to Diane's Bath, a romantic 18th-century grotto where lovers once rendezvoused.
