Located on the banks of the majestic Dronne, in the heart of Brantôme in Périgord, Bimbillou Parc is a unique historic troglodyte site that invites you on a journey through time. Discovering the first troglodytic mill belonging to the Benedictine monks of Brantôme, an unfinished hotel, a troglodytic house, ancient quarries and numerous caves, Bimbillou Parc is a window onto the past.
A FAMILY HISTORY AT THE HEART OF BIMBILLOU PARC
This place, steeped in centuries of history, is home to a wonderful family story. Two young cousins, Théo Bauchaud-Martinot, 22, and Tom Gilbert, 26, have fulfilled the dream of their grandfather Claude Martinot, founder of the Font Vendôme motorhome brand and a local figure with a passion for antiques. Together, they have restored and opened this historic site to visitors, sharing the family legacy with the world.
AN IMPRESSIVE DISCOVERY TRAIL
The Bimbillou Parc offers a guided tour that immerses you in the trades of yesteryear, while allowing you to explore the most fascinating nooks and crannies of this troglodytic site. You'll discover the famous "Moulin du Couvent", as well as an unfinished hotel, a troglodytic house and many mysterious caves. Each room transports you into its own world, offering a captivating immersion in history.
SHARING FAMILY MOMENTS
Along the way, activities and games are organized, including a treasure hunt. Suitable for young and old alike, we aim to captivate all our visitors and create a friendly atmosphere in a unique site in the Dordogne.
What's more, if you prefer to bring your own lunch, Bimbillou Parc has a picnic area specially designed for your convenience, located in the park's shaded visitor parking lot.
SELF-GUIDED TOUR WITH INFORMATION PANELS
A visit to Bimbillou Parc is designed to be self-guided and immersive. You can explore the site at your own pace, guided by signposts that reveal the fascinating details of each area. This approach allows you to personalize your experience, leaving you free to linger wherever you wish.
RELAXATION AREA AND REFRESHMENTS
On site, you'll find a relaxation area with a troquet serving refreshments. And, subject to availability, a food truck serving local cuisine. You can relax by the water, in the shade of the trees, in a peaceful and enchanting setting. This area is reserved exclusively for visitors, creating a relaxing atmosphere for your visit.
THE BIMBILLOU AREA
For motorhome enthusiasts, the Aire de Bimbillou offers a large, continuously open parking lot, allowing you to stay from half a day up to several days. Parking spaces are diverse and varied, with large stabilized pitches as well as open spaces. There's also a service area, with sanitary facilities open only during the day, and an area for emptying and refilling clean water.
And last but not least, two petanque courts and a picnic area on the banks of the Dronne for relaxing moments.
