Fernand Desmoulin Museum
Welcome to the Fernand Desmoulin Museum
The museum presents the mediumistic work of the painter and aquafortist Fernand Desmoulin (1853-1914).
Won over by the fever of spiritualism so fashionable at the time, he produced an exceptional mediumistic work between 1900 and 1902. Through his hand, the "spirit" successively signed three different names: "L'Instituteur", "Ton Vieux Maître" and "Astarté".
In the 1950s, his widow bequeathed his drawings and writings to the town of Brantôme-en-Périgord. The town subsequently founded the Musée Fernand Desmoulin to house this collection.
