Fernand Desmoulin Museum
Welcome to the Fernand Desmoulin Museum
The museum presents the mediumistic work of the painter and aquafortist. Fernand Desmoulin (1853-1914).
Won over by the fever of spiritualism, which was very much in vogue in his time, he produced from 1900 to 1902 an exceptional mediumistic work. Through his hand, the "spirit" signed successively three different names: "The Teacher", "Your Old Master" and "Astarte".
In the 1950s, his drawings and writings were bequeathed to the City of Brantôme-en-Périgord by his widow. The municipality later founded the Fernand Desmoulin Museum to present this collection.
