Welcome to the Aquarium du Périgord noir

Aquarium Périgord Noir is Europe's largest privately-owned freshwater aquarium; over 4,000m2, you'll discover 70 tanks containing 3 million liters of water, allowing you to see 6,000 animals, including the finest collection of sturgeons in Europe.
The aquarium's open-air basins allow you to see the flora and fauna evolve in all seasons (rain, snow, sun), making it the best way to observe our rivers, ponds and lakes.

The Alligator Park: over 2,000m2 of magnificent Louisiana scenery, hosted by famous hunter-turned-hunter Jo McClack, where you can see alligators, anacondas, iguanas and caimans, and feed baby alligators (ask for details!).

Become a VIP trainee on a private tour with a biologist, feeding alligators, carp or Myocastors.

Exhibition from August 5 "Plaisirs d'écailles" in partnership with photographer Matthieu Berroneau

An evolving area already integrated into the visit, the aim is to raise awareness of the different species and show their fragile side. This exhibition area will evolve with the seasons. It's an open-air cabinet of curiosities.

HALLOWEEN AT THE AQUARIUM DU PERIGORD NOIR 2025

Come and celebrate Halloween at the Aquarium du Périgord Noir, which will be decorated for the occasion under the Mexican flag.

For two festive weeks, the Aquarium will be fully decorated to get you in the Halloween mood. Colouring contests, pumpkin weighing, Halloween hunts throughout the Aquarium, mystery boxes and face painting for children are just some of the activities that will delight young and old alike!

Hungry like a wolf? Enjoy our special Halloween crepe and black burger with bloody sauce.
