Welcome to the Domme
Under the Bastide de Domme a village classified as one of France's "most beautiful villages", is home to the fantastic world of the largest cave in Périgord Noir, with its colonnades, stalactites and stalagmites, draperies and water mirrors.
An underground gem, the entrance to the cave of Domme located beneath the 17th-century covered market, invites you to explore a treasure trove of 450 m of gallery space.
Take the panoramic elevator back up from the cave exit to the heart of the cliff, and enjoy one of the finest views in the Dordogne valley.
The temperature in the cave is 13/15°c, there are steps, slopes and low passages, and the ascent is by staircase or elevator.
